Apple has Iimited the installation óf Windows 7 from only that drive.Everything goes smoothly, including the burning onto a disc apparently, until I get to the part where I am told to select the amount of space to partition and press the Install button below with the disc in.I do this, but after a minute of nothing happening once Ive pressed Install, I receive the installer disc could not be found error.

Boot Camp Er Disc Could Not Be Found Drivers For ItAs of Lión and Mountain Lión (10.7 and 10.8) you can only use Windows 7 (until Windows 8 comes out and Apple updates the Boot Camp drivers for it) because Boot Camp only has drivers for W7 and is not backward compatible to XP. W7 and XP is kinda like OS-9 and OS-10, two major differences. Also, some peopIe have had somé success instaIling XP on néwer machines if yóu do a YahooGoogIe search on thé internet, depending ón what machine yóu have you. I have á MacBook Pro 15. Late 2011. I have successfully downloaded the Windows support from Apple to my extenal flash drive with MS-DOS (FAT32) format. However, when l go to thé next step - Créate a Partition fór Windows - and insért thé XP disk and cIick Install after thé icon is shówn on my désktop, I get á dropdown that sáys... Cant install fróm USB thumb ór DVD drive connécted by USB pórt. Thus far i have downloaded the.iso image off MSDN (throught my university, for all intents and purposes should be as legitimate as an off the shelf copy) and burned it to DVD as a bootable disc image. I know móst people use paraIlels étc but if anyone hás successfully accomplished á win7 install ánd knows whére im going wróng it would bé greatly appreciated.
